Welcome

Ashby Baptist Church is a thriving community of Christians based in the town centre of Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. We are a Church which is part of the Baptist Union and the local family of Baptist churches, as well as working alongside other Churches in Ashby as part of Ashby's 'Churches Together'.

A service is held every Sunday morning to which anyone is welcome, as well as coffee mornings, bible study groups, youth clubs, older people's fellowship meetings and a play-group throughout the week. More information about the weekly events held at Ashby Baptist Church can be found here.

We warmly welcome and encourage anyone to come along and join in at Ashby Baptist, whether you've been a Christian for 100 years or just want to know more about Jesus Christ and His Love. For more information about the Church and how you can get involved, please contact the Church office.

'Putting together our church profile' (Wed 12 Mar 2008)

We have just finished putting together our church profile. The profile sets out details about our church, how we see ourselves and where we would like to be in the future. We have also put in writing what we are looking for in our new Minister. This profile will now enable us to be matched with Ministers looking for a new church. We can then begin to meet those we feel fit our profile, enabling us a stage further in finding our new Minister. Exciting times!

'Preachers' (Tue 5 Feb 2008)

While we are in our interregnum we have the opportunity to have many visiting preachers. Sometimes the preachers will simply preach and other times they take the whole service. Revd Diane Holmes, our part time minister will still be preaching each month. Often members of our own congregation are leading and preaching at our morning services.

'Men's Breakfast' (Tue 5 Feb 2008)

Our regular Men's Breakfasts take place on the second Saturday of the month. Sometimes there is a walk followed by breakfast other times the breakfast is followed by a speaker. Usually the breakfast is held at the church. If you would like more information pleased contact the church.

'Our Interregnum' (Thu 15 Nov 2007)

At present we are in an interregnum period. This does not mean we are standing still but are poised and ready to move forward. We are looking at our church profile and will be looking out for our new full time minister. In the mean time church life is busy, some of the things we are planning for at the moment are Hope08, and a Holiday at Home with a Scottish theme. Our logo through the interregnum is a traffic light. We are on amber!
