Hope08 Ashby Community Fun Day Saturday June 14th

Brook Street will be shut for the day while we put on events, stalls, games, refreshements for the people of Ashby. This is just one of the town events that the churches in Ashby are running during Hope08. Come along and enjoy the day, or even be a part in the planning and running. Hope 2008 is an initiative of the churches of Britain and Ireland which is helping to demonstrate Christian faith in action and to explain the meaning of that faith in villages, towns and cities throughout the UK. Holiday at Home 2008

Holiday at Home 2007 Pyramid Paradise: Helpers awaiting guests on our first morning 2207.Holiday at Home has become an annual event. Previous years have been a safari, a cruise down the Nile. Holiday at home 2007 Pyramid Paradise Holiday at home 2007 Pyramid Paradise This year we are going on a Highland holiday to Scotland. The holdiay begins on Wednesday 28th May and finishes on Sunday 1st June. On the Thursday we are going for a trip to Derbyshire.

Weekly Events

Sunday Morning Service
A celebration of what Jesus Christ has done for the world, held at 10:30am every Sunday of the year. The service usually lasts about 75 to 90 minutes and refreshments are provided afterwards. Junior Church and Creche facilities are available for younger families. Communion is taken on the 1st Sunday of every month in the morning service.

Home Fellowship Groups
We have a number of Home Fellowship Groups, meeting weekly in the day or evening for Bible teaching and an opportunity to get to know others in the Church outside of the Church building.

Coffee Mornings
Coffee Mornings are held throughout the week, usually on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Older People's Meetings

Oasis Fellowship
The Oasis Fellowship meet every Wednesday from 2 to 3pm and is an opportunity for older followers of Christ, and those seeking Him, to meet together.

Luncheon Club
We have a weekly Lunch Club on Fridays for older people in the Ashby area. All are welcome.

Younger People's Meetings

Rock Solid
Rock Solid is held on Friday evenings for 11 to 14 year olds, meeting in the downstairs halls in the Church from 7pm to 8.30pm. Rock Solid is run by Ashby Youth For Christ.

Jigsaw
Jigsaw is held on Friday evenings and is for 5 to 7 year olds, meeting at the Congregational Church from 6pm to 7pm.

Trekkers
Trekkers on Friday evenings at the Methodist Church. School years 3 and 4 meet from 6pm to 7pm and school years 5 and 6 meet from 7.15pm to 8.30pm.

Monthly Events

Tea & Thought
Held at 4.30pm every second Sunday of the month. For those who would like some company, tea and a small talk on a Sunday afternoon.

Healing Service
Every fourth Sunday of the month, 7:30pm in the church.
