Discussion Groups

Also known as ‘Home Groups’, ‘Small Groups’ and ‘Fellowship Groups’, these groups are where people meet to discuss Bible topics, spiritual matters, or the Sunday sermon – a new initiative for 2022. It’s an opportunity to come together mid-week and grow in knowledge, prayerfulness and friendship. Currently we have the following groups:

Mixed Evening Group, Ashby

Every Wednesday, 8 pm – 9:30 pm
Discussing the issues raised by the Sunday sermon.

Mixed Evening Group, Ravenstone

Every Tuesday, 8 pm – 9:30 pm
Discussing the issues raised by the Sunday sermon.

Mixed Evening Group, Blackfordby

Every Tuesday, 7:30 pm – 9 pm
Discussing the issues raised by the Sunday sermon.

Men’s Evening Group, Ashby

Every Wednesday, 7:30 pm – 9 pm
Verse-by-verse study of a Bible text.

Inter-church Ladies Group, Ashby

Every Wednesday, 10 am – 11:45 am
Ladies from different churches meeting to pray and study the Bible together.

‘Why Jesus?’ Morning Group

Every Friday, 10:30 am – 12 pm
Discussing the issues raised by the Sunday sermon and sharing experiences of how to live out faith by walking closely with God.

Older People

Lunch Club

Every Friday, 1 pm – 3.30 pm
We bring our own lunch and eat and chat together. We engage in a variety of activities e.g. skittles, crafts, scrabble, dominoes, jigsaws.

Young People

Blast

Third Sunday of the month, 7 pm – 8 pm, Ashby
A social gathering for church youth aged 11+.

Rock Solid

Every Friday, 7 pm to 8:30 pm, downstairs at church
A youth club run by Ashby Youth For Christ for 11- to 14-year-olds, especially welcoming non-church teens.

Ministries

Renew Wellbeing

Every Wednesday, 12:00 – 2:30 pm, downstairs at church
A quiet shared space ‘where it’s OK not to be OK’. This is an opportunity to share a hobby or skill, or to join in a workshop or activity. Alternatively, you can come to simply relax and chat, and enjoy the peace in our quiet area. All are welcome and no charge is made. Please bring your own lunch.

Who Let The Dads Out

Third Saturday of the month, 10 am – 12 pm, back hall at church
An opportunity for dads, stepdads, grandads and other male carers to spend time with their toddlers and pre-school children and mingle with other men in the same position. There are plenty of toys, and bacon butties and coffee are served.

Make Do, Mend & Create and Coffee Morning

First Saturday of the month (excluding January and August), 10 am – 12 pm
A welcoming, experienced and well-resourced team from Holy Trinity Church helps visitors with all their repair, upcycling and creative projects, while ABC serves tea and coffee.
