About

Ashby Baptist Church is a welcoming and exciting church for all ages. Our worship services include songs old and new, times of waiting on God, openness to the Holy Spirit, prayer, meditation and inspiring Biblical preaching.

We are members of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the East Midlands Baptist Association. We work alongside other Ashby Churches as part of ashbychurches.org and we are members of the Evangelical Alliance.

Team

Following the recent retirement of our pastor, we are currently in the process of seeking to appoint his successor.

Rhona Passey is our part-time pastoral worker, working especially with our older people. She brings joy and laughter into all she does, with insightful wisdom to comfort and encourage.

The leadership is ably assisted by a group of elected deacons from all walks of life who provide encouragement and share in the leadership of the church.

Beliefs

We believe that God loves everyone! The Bible says “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16). Jesus is our Saviour and role model, and God, through his Holy Spirit, enables us to live transformed lives.
