Sunday the 17th December was our Messy Christmas service, our family-oriented Christmas extravaganza. We gathered in the lounge and halls for a packed morning of festive fun with craft stations, tea, coffee and mince pies, music and mingling. Later we moved to the sanctuary to belt out some joyous carols. In the midst of all the glitter and crazy Christmas apparel we remembered the gift of Christ that’s given to us and reflected on whether he is a gift that is appreciated but stored unused in a cupboard, a gift that never gets opened, or a gift that is treasured and used every day.
